As a working Mum with two-year old twins the time to go shopping myself had become very limited. Consequently I ended up buying clothes in a hurry, and then regretting it later. I was wasting both money and time.

When we went shopping, Lizzie immediately put me at my ease and listened to what I wanted to achieve. I learned what clothes flatter my figure and some basic rules that stop me from making so many costly mistakes. It was a brilliant day and I felt wonderful. Afterwards, I couldn't wait to get home and try on all my new clothes! It was such a great feeling to know I wouldn't have that 'nothing to wear ' feeling when I opened the wardrobe doors.

I also invested in a make up lesson and new haircut. Kit is very skilled, and just like Lizzie very easy to get on with. She looked at my make-up bag first so I didn't have to splash out on new items if I didn't need too. Having her explain how to apply make-up was brilliant, but buying make-up and brushes under her expert eye, then practicing to apply it was the key- she made it look very easy! But by the time I left I was confident I could recreate what she'd shown me.

Kene is a great hairdresser, and easy to talk to. I was thrilled with my new short haircut, though it was quite a change. The great cut was the crucial bit, well worth it and great value too.

I thoroughly recommend Babet Style Consultancy for all of the reasons above. I can't wait to go back and do it all again for the new season. I just hope she doesn't get discovered by too many people and gets too busy to fit me in!

I decided to contact Babet Style Consultancy as I was returning to work after having my second child and in need of a style re-vamp. I have no imagination when it comes to putting a wardrobe together, had become out of touch with what is fashionable.

Lizzie came to my home and spent a day working through my wardrobe, weeding out all the ill fitting or unfashionable stuff - quite a large proportion of what was there, in fact!  She identified specific gaps in my wardrobe which needed to be filled on the shopping trip, and also advised me of what alterations could be done to existing garments to make them work for me.

We spent 2 days shopping in London, where Lizzie also took me to an alterations person who altered some items I hadn't worn for ages, bringing them up to date and to fit and flatter me.

The result was a new wardrobe - and I felt so special! Going back to work I felt a much happier, more confident me!

I was so pleased that I invested the time in re-vamping my wardrobe. I really feel it was good value for money, because otherwise I would have continued to spend a lot of money on things that didn't work for me. It's an investment in oneself! I learned what does and doesn't work for me, and can avoid costly mistakes. As a result I have become more adventurous in my own shopping now.

I basically wanted to start from scratch with a whole new set of clothes, potentially with a look that I wouldn't normally use.

Lizzie was very efficient. I liked the way I could just follow her round and I didn't have to think - she did all the thinking for me. She got together about 10 or so items to try on, and quite soon it was obvious which type of things I was comfortable in. But she still did try to push my boundaries which I liked. I was also introduced to new shops/makes that I really like but hadn't heard of before.

I don't buy many clothes on my own now - I try to do all my shopping in one go - this saves me a lot of time, which is great. I've had compliments too - something that hasn't happened before!

 I find the service really good value. It saves me time and I don't buy clothes that I rarely wear again, which has happened in the past

I would recommend Lizzie, and I have, especially to other blokes. I think its great to be able to have an impartial person say what looks nice, I find it very difficult when I'm on my own to decide what looks good.

 I felt lost and confused while shopping for clothes and found I was wearing the same things over and over. 

I brought along a selection of images taken from magazines for Lizzie to see what I would like to achieve. 

Lizzie gathered the clothes based on her huge fashion knowledge, and on what she thought would suit me. She was confident around clothes and swept up many hangers and was able to bypass the normal trying on rules of only a few items at a time and could go back on the store floor to get more things. I was mostly based in a fitting room while Lizzie did all the hard work! She offered friendly, kind, thoughtful and honest advice on outfits and on fitting.

At first I was a little nervous to wear my new looks to work for the first time, but almost every item drew positive comments. I have been given back my clothes shopping mojo and I am no longer afraid to try things on and keep an eye out for new looks. I now shop with more confidence. Getting admiring comments feels very good!

I'd never enjoyed shopping as I didn't have a clue what to buy. I was glued into jeans for 15 years, and was aware that the impression my colleagues had of me (scruffy, monotonously jean-clad, unsophisticated, at times unkempt!) was not always helpful to my position.

I was hugely impressed with how Lizzie took on board my natural 'style tendencies' and did not try to pour me into clothes that would have made me feel like an alien. However, she did challenge me to try on things I'd have previously never considered, and, astonishing to me, with good results!

Lizzie selected clothes for me to try on with enormous concentration and scrutiny, gliding with a hawk's eye between the rails. Each item was jointly considered, and I began to see with her eyes why certain things looked better than others. She made me look at myself in a better way - emphasising my good bits and making the best of the shape I am.

The changing room can be a vulnerable place to be but I quickly lost self-consciousness, and in a way became detached enough from my body to be able to dress it as it best deserved to be. It was like having a big sister and best friend rolled into one, in whom I could trust completely. It was also a lot of fun!

I ended up with a complete new wardrobe, head to toe, no omissions and not a penny over budget. At the end of the session I felt exhilarated, and utterly exhausted.

Lizzie also discussed my general appearance and suggested I have a cut with her recommended hairdresser. Kene cut my hair and lopped 5 years off my age. I left lighter headed in every sense.

I have worn everything, really lived in everything! I receive compliments on my clothes - a new experience. I know that I look better - though it's nice when people tell me. I also feel more confident at work. This is significant, as I think I'm better able to deal with situations and people now I feel better about myself

When shopping since then, I've been far more aware of what actually flatters me, top and bottom halves, and am pleased with what I've bought since our session. This is where the real value of that morning becomes apparent - not making expensive mistakes.

I've never enjoyed shopping and was wary about embarking on a marathon retail expedition but I actually really enjoyed it! My usual shopping technique was to find a pair of trousers/shoes that (I thought) were OK and to buy 3 pairs. I really didn't care about my appearance that much but Lizzie has educated me into realizing that certain styles and looks make me look so much better - younger hipper and slimmer!

I came away with armfuls of bags, much to the amusement of my wife and daughters, and as well as having fun, I found it a pragmatic way of shopping - we bought everything I'll need for the next 6-12 months, thus saving me the effort of further trips (until my next one with Lizzie!) She was charming, tactful and uncompromising in her quest to get me fashionably attired and I would highly recommend her expertise and high level of service.

Having had a baby, regained most of my shape and finally decided I was not going back to work, it seemed a good time to sort through my wardrobe, take some care in my appearance and have some advice as to what suits me and what I could wear as a mum instead of jeans and a boring t-shirt. 

I have spent very little time worrying about my appearance in the past and I was a little nervous about meeting Lizzie but my doubts where totally unfounded - she was really friendly, very professional and made me feel at totally at ease.

I now have lots of new clothes that I love and make me feel great and I have a much clearer idea of what suits me and the confidence to wear clothes that don't make me look old before my time.

I felt slightly apprehensive about the amount of money I spent but when I arrived home with my new purchases and received so many lovely comments from friends and family in the following weeks I knew it was well worth it.

I have more confidence and I'm a happier me! I'm not moaning to my husband that I feel like a dowdy housewife anymore! It was good value as the benefits six months down the line are still very apparent and I haven't slipped back to my old ways, so Lizzie definitely did something right!

I have a long-standing loathing of shopping and my clothes. I wanted a good selection of things for work and play.

It felt great to be collecting a wardrobe that I really liked - particularly to have a few trousers and jeans that fit well, as I found these particularly painful to shop for. Lizzie really focused on what I was looking for and wanting to get from the session, whilst encouraging me to try new styles and colours that I would never have otherwise. She was extremely reassuring and friendly, and put me at ease straight away.

I was a bit nervous and self-conscious to begin with, but quickly relaxed as I found I was enjoying trying on things that looked good and made me feel more confident.

I gained a great basic wardrobe with some great stuff for going out too, plus a new awareness about the styles and colours that suit me best. This, in addition to learning about particularly good ranges and shops, will make future shopping trips a lot easier.  I know what designs and ranges to look out for, and how to pull together an outfit. My experience with Lizzie has made a huge difference to how I think about clothes, shopping and myself. 

I was bored with my clothes and wanted somebody professional (not just a friend) to shake things up a bit.

I had a fairly small budget but we went shopping for 3 or 4 hours and I bought more clothes in that time than in the previous 5 years. Lizzie is very relaxed and actually has the ability to make shopping for clothes stress free and fun! But it was also really efficient - I tried on loads of clothes that I would not have normally have even looked at - most of which I bought. It was great having someone else in charge yet I still had final say. It was good to have an impartial eye.

Over the following weeks and months many of my friends have complimented me on my new style. I thought the experience was very good value: in one morning I got new clothes and accessories, expanded my clothes style and learned how to shop for clothes. I also had fun.
