Professional association whose annual conference has been a great way to meet and learn from other renowned consultants. Also has valuable Information and lists international style and image trainers, of which some offer courses in England too.
Nivea - Podcast
I have recently been commissioned by NIVEA to give an introduction to colour and style in a series of 3 podcasts. They are available to view on the NIVEA website in the 'Beauty Is' series. There is also a question & answer page and a competion to win a shopping trip and £500 spending money!
Carla Mathis/Body Beautiful - Stylist and Colour training
I searched far and wide for a trainer who I felt had the same approach and values as myself, and who specialised in focussing on the individual. Based in the US, Carla trains all over the world, and is finally coming to train in the UK for the first time in October 2008. Myself and Fran are currently organising the Level I Body Beautiful training course which will take place central London. If you are interested in learning about colour and style, either as a potential business or just for your own use, I cannot recommend her enough.

Brenda Kinsel - Image consultant and author
Brenda is a huge inspiration to me. I found her books on amazon.com when I first started out, and e mailed her for advice as I loved her fun style and her values. She encouraged me to attend the AICI conference, where I have had the privilege of attending her workshops. Her books are practical and informative so great for those who are interested in becoming a personal stylist/shopper or those who want to 'do it themselves' due to budget restrictions.
