Shoe Boots

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

Shoe boots are the perfect piece of footwear for this time of year. With the temperature dropping you don’t want to be going out in the evenings with your feet exposed. They are a great item to wear with your day to night outfit at work, ideal for all the Christmas office parties coming up and they are also one of the more flattering / sexy pieces of footwear you can own!

Like with any shoe, the size of the heel is vital. Always make sure you buy the heel this right for you and for when you want to wear it. Some sky scraper heels can be mega sexy but not if you can’t walk in them! Kitten heels can be very practical but be sure to avoid the frumpy look. Always good to think as well if you want a shoe boot that will look good with both jeans and skirts/dresses as some are more suited to trousers, so try remember this when you’re trying them on, envisage them in another outfit as well!

Here are some of my favourite shoe boots available at the moment…

For those of you who don’t want to risk wearing something too high try these, from Ash (available on my-wardrobe)

Winter Boots

Winter Boots

Can you believe it’s November! And for the first week of November, I thought boots is one of the first winter  items to shop for.

Although the weather has been mild, it is definitely time to shop for winter essentials.

I love boots they are one of my favourite pieces to go shopping for, and you can never have enough to keep you through winter.

My debate was whether to write about ankle boots or knee highs boots, I could not decide as both are a winner for this season so I decided to post about a mixture of styles.

If you feel like your stuck in a style rut a new pair of boots can update your wardrobe instantly.

It can take time trying different boots to see what suits you best, but once you find a good pair, it is easy to build outfits.

Whatever your size and shape a good pair of signature boots is a must have in your wardrobe.

The Riding Boot. Something that I think will never go out of fashion. The heritage look is really on trend for winter and these are a real staple. A good investment, and will last for a  few winters. These are from Office £120.

The Animal Print Boot. Animal print is really in fashion this season. Leopard print, seems to be the best investment and these are great if you just want a subtle hint of print, these are also another bargain from Asos £40 reduced from £50 !

The Ankle Boot. Great with jeans and paired with dresses. The ankle boot is a must have wardrobe piece. This pair from Alexander McQueen £720, Are suede and look great teamed with your favourite skinny jeans.

The Brogue. One of my favourite types of boot and I am always on the hunt for a good pair! I am in love with these ones from ASOS £27. Reduced from £45.  An absolute bargain! These have a cute little heel, are great to dress up jeans. Also very flattering on the legs and the lace up is a nice added touch.

The Biker Boot. I adore biker boots, sometimes it is hard to find a pair that are not chunky,  but still feminine. Zara have some gorgeous winter boots these are perfect for wearing casually, but still looking stylish. Zara £59.99.

The Knee High Boot. For these dark winter evenings these knee high boots from Topshop £95. Are fantastic, the fact they have a heel means they are also super stylish!

Mmm… Metallic Sandals

Sunday, July 17th, 2011

We love a good metallic sandal – it just screams summer to us! Put your best perfectly pedicured foot forward in any one of these beauties this summer:

These Carvela Kirren sandals, £55 would be a fantastic holiday shoe. Perfect with a maxi dress, a gorgeous tan and a carefree attitude, we can just imagine enjoying the gorgeous, lush weather of some far away land..

Another fab holiday sandal – Musa’s crystal embellished t-bar shoe, £285. Pop them in your bag or on your feet as you head towards the beach (which we imagine will be the same shade as the turquoise embellishments)…

We’ve shown you two great sandals but what about these?! They are most definitely on the higher end of the price spectrum at £460 but these Gina Aisha sandals are incredible! Even those who hate anything blingy will be sure to be mesmerised by these beauts shining in the sun… A girl can dream right? *Sigh*
